Board-exam working:

a_n=a+(n-1)d

Here a=5 and d=11−5=6.

Put aₙ=301.

301=5+(n−1)6=5+6n−6=6n−1.

Thus 6n=302 and n=302/6=151/3.

Since 151/3 is not a positive integer, it cannot be a term number.

301 is not a term.
